Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October 11, 2017 Cara Applewhite

As I'm sure you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. National Breast Cancer Awareness Month was founded in 1985 and has been going strong ever since. During the month of October you will see the color pink, the offical color of the cause, everywhere from sporting events to shopping malls to buildings lit up in the night. The goal of BCAM is to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and hopefully, someday, a cure.

This year Willow + Isolde is taking part in Breast Cancer Awareness Month. When you purchase any of our five pink items, 10% of the profits will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. During the month of October, you can find these five items under the Shop for a Cause tab on our website.

In 2017 alone, it is estimated that there will be 252,710 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 40,610 breast cancer deaths. Breast cancer is an illness that touches us all. We all know someone who is currently fighting or has fought breast cancer. It is important that we always fight this devastating illness, but the month of October gives us a greater opportunity to do so. Please head to our website and pick up something cute for yourself to wear and rest easy knowing that your money is going towards a great cause!
